This study was aimed to analyse the ability of prospective Biology teachers to master the learning concepts and Biology Science materials in Junior High Schools. The used method in this study was a descriptive analysis, involving some prospective teachers (the students who were taking micro-teaching courses (PPL-1) in even semester of 2017/2018 academic year) in the Biology Education Study Programme FKIP Untan, as the research subjects. A total of 30 university students with GPA ≥ 3.00 were randomly selected. The instrument in this study was an ability assessment of learning concepts and materials of Biology Science in junior high schools. The data analysis was done in descriptively qualitative and quantitative methods; including data collection, data reduction, data presentation, data analysis using means and percentages, and conclusions eventually. The results showed that the prospective Biology teachers in mastering the concept of learning obtained an average value of 76.89 with A, B, and C grades respectively, 46.67%, 40.00%, and 13.33%. For mastering the biology science concept, it was obtained an average value of 75.73 with grade A, B, and C respectively, 33.33%, 46.67%, and 20.00%. It was certainly concluded that the ability of prospective biology teachers in mastering the concepts of learning and the materials of Biology Science was classified into the good category.

KEMAMPUAN CALON GURU BIOLOGI MEMBUAT PERANGKAT PENILAIAN BERBASIS KURIKULUM 2013 Ningsih, Kurnia

ABSTRAKTujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis kemampuan calon guru biologi membuat perangkat penilaian berbasis kurikulum 2013. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif, dengan subyek penelitian calon guru biologi yaitu mahasiswa yang mengambil mata kuliah micro teaching (PPL-1) semester genap tahun ajaran 2016/2017 pada program studi Pendidikan Biologi berjumlah 30 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes kemampuan membuat perangkat penilaian berbasis kurikulum 2013. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan metode deskriptif Â dengan tahapan: pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, analisis data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa calon guru biologi mampu membuat perangkat penilaian berbasis Kurikulum 2013 secara keseluruhan diperoleh rata-rata sebesar 71,08%. Secara rinci kemampuan membuat penilaian sikap, pengetahuan, dan keterampilan berturut-turut adalah 81,67%, 70,42%, dan 69,17%. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan calon guru Biologi membuat perangkat penilaian berbasis Kurikulum 2013 tergolong baik.Â Kata kunci: kemampuan, membuat perangkat penilaianÂ

The problems of incorrect concepts (misconception) often occurred in Biology learning, especially the abstract concepts. This research is aimed to find the misconception occurred in basic concept of First Semester Biology Students in Biology Education Study Program. Explorative description is used in this research. The subject of this research is 21 persons that are first year students 2008/2009. Diagnostic-test in multiple choices with reasonable answers is the instruments of this research. The misconception in first semester students in Biology education is the highest in the respiratory system of living organisms as 90,48%. Students that state sticking and implanting includes in vegetative artificial reproduction is about 85,71%, and red and yellow colors in Bougainville flower in corolla and calyx is about 80,95%. The cause of misconception is reading book and the explanation they accept. By the early finding of the misconception occurred in students, it is suggested the teachers that teach Basic Biology or related with the concept; the vegetative artificial reproduction, respiration, photosynthesis, dependency among living organisms, and flower morphology so it can be chosen appropriate and price method/strategy in making the lecturing process.Keyword: Misconception, Basic Concept Biology

This aims this study is to obtain objective information about the learning outcome after implementation of type STAD cooperative learning model on basic statistics course in third semester of PAPK Program in Biology Education. In addition, this study develop students?s ability to understand in working together to solve and resolve the problem. The samples of study were third semester students in PAPK program who follow the Basic Statistics course in Biology Education Departement of PMIPA FKIP Untan 2016-2017. Implementation in the data presentation focused on the subject matter, size and placement of the central symptoms.The data collection conducted in providing achievement test after being given treatment. Form of test is essay with 2 questions which consist of 13 questions. The results showed if the type STAD cooperative learning model is one model that could improve student?s outcome on the subject presentation of the data, the size of the placement and symptoms in statistics basic course.Keyword: STAD cooperative learning model

Pembuatan Asesmen Berbasis Kelas Melalui Model Partisipatif pada Guru MIPA SMP di Kota Pontianak Ningsih, Kurnia

Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk membuat asesmen berbasis kelas melalui model pelatihan partisipatif dan dapat meningkatkan profesionalitas guru MIPA SMP di Kota Pontianak. Metode yang digunakan adalah pelatihan dengan model partisipatif. Peserta yang terlibat berjumlah 36 orang guru, yang terdiri dari: 30 orang dari SMP Negeri, 4 orang dari SMP Swasta, dan 2 orang dari MTs. Negeri. Membuat asesmen berbasis kelas sesungguhnya telah dilakukan guru-guru MIPA SMP yang ada di Kota Pontianak. namun masih belum mengungkap aspek kemampuan yang ingin diukur pada kisi-kisi yang dibuat. sehingga akan mempengaruhi rumusan indikator soal yang dirumuskan. Setelah melakukan kegiatan pelatihan dengan menggunakan model partisipatif diperoleh 80,56% dapat dikategorikan cukup baik dalam membuat asesmen berbasis kelas, sedangkan hanya 19,44% dalam kategori cukup. Dalam menerapkan model pelatihan partisipatif pada pelaksanaan kegiatan ini. pelatih menggunakan metode diskusi, tanya jawab, dan presentasi. Melalui tiga komponen pelatihan partisipatif yaitu pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan pengembangan dapat meningkatkan kinerja guru dalam proses pembelajaran.
